Wedding Dance Gets Royal Treatment

T-Mobile, the brand known for creating its fantastic flashmob based advert like the “Welcome Back” at Heathrow airport video and the “Lifes for sharing video” filmed at Liverpool station, has created another one of its great adverts – this time the video is based on the royal wedding…

All I can say, is that I doubt the really one will be as fun as this looked!

DIY Wedding Service

Here’s something I didn’t expect to read in the papers today:

“DIY giant B&Q is launching a wedding list service – for couples who already have enough appliances. The service allows guests to club together for a DIY project rather than buying individual gifts. The chain’s research shows that three-quarters of couples are already living together before marriage–so they often already own items that make up traditional lists.”

Its quite an interesting idea, given that most couple usually do live together before getting married and therfore have all the appliances. This idea means that come the wedding time, people have made a combined gift voucher to use at B&Q which will no doubt be for home renovation.

An interesting concept, if you ask me!

Brand New Bose L1 System

So if you like your TV you have no doubt seen or watched Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.

On one of the more recent episodes shown the couple had arrange a big white LED Dance floor – what did you think of it? Whilst probably not in the best setting, it is certainly one of the newest and greatest wow factor to add to a wedding. Creating a themed event

Creating a themed event can turn out to be a breath of fresh air for both you and your guests. From birthdays and anniversary`s, to work events or weddings, a themed event or party can give your celebration an edge, make it more fun packed and generally just enhancing everybody`s experience. Planning decorations, venues, outfits and music is also much easier when you have a core theme from which to work.

There are many hints and tips which can help you when creating a themed event. For example, when you are deciding on your theme it is important to keep in mind the occasion. Also, ensure that your theme will be appreciated and enjoyed by your target audience. And, remember that you should not feel yourself limited by convention – however, stay within the limits of your budget! Also, play particular attention to the details of your themed event. Create an all encompassing `whole night or evening` by ensuring your theme carries through to the music, decorations and food.

There are many popular themed events which can be hosted through events companies and will take a bit of pressure of you, in terms of freeing up your time, allowing you to enjoy the party more, mingle with the guests and have fun yourself. For example, casino nights are particularly popular and whilst you may have to pay out to hire gaming tables, there are many websites from which you can simply hire a poker dealer or croupier services alone. This slashes your budget and allows you to still experience the fun of a casino night. You can even get everyone to dress up as Gangsters, adopt old style Hollywood glamour, or take inspiration from Vegas and all come as Elvis. Cater with traditional poker food such as chips and dips and nice cold beer, or glam it up with cocktails and canapés.

How about a themed murder mystery event? With this you have the option of going to an organised event, or simply making one up yourself. Get on the internet, google some ideas, decide who is going to poke who in the library with a bayonet, get dressed up, get clued up and get drinking up! A guaranteed night of laughter for all involved!

Of course one of the easiest ways to host a themed event is to simply make it a fancy dress night. If you have a fancy dress themed night then your options are limitless, you can choose more or less any theme you wish and find something for everyone. Popular fancy dress themes take inspiration from many sources, from eras, to decades, music or films. Vicars and tarts may well be seen as no longer PC, but it is still a popular choice! Although you may have to negotiate with your guests before committing yourself!

Ensure your guests will be able to find something suitable to wear to your themed event and ask them for their input as to what sort of theme they would like. Generic parties such as Pirates, Superheroes, or film stars, leaves a lot of scope for people to put their own twist on the evening and find unique outfits that they feel comfortable wearing.

Indeed, the biggest things needed for fancy dress events are the Fancy dress outfits and they are easy to come by. Search online for cost effective professionally made costumes and be prepared to be in awe of what is available, everything and anything you could possibly imagine can be bought or hired for your fancy dress pleasure!
