I’ve thrown my hat in the ring
Having being blown away by the ridiculously high calibre of Wedding Entertainers I had the honour of meeting and working with in Vegas, the passion I have for my continuing career as a DJ and Master of Ceremonies has literally gone through the roof. I feel excited and invigorated… and I’m overflowing with so many fresh and fantastic ideas that I can’t wait to share with my brides and grooms. But it’s not enough. And that’s why I’ve decided to take a massive leap and put myself through the rigorous application process to (hopefully) be welcomed as a member of the Wedding Entertainment Director’s Guild.
What is The WED Guild?[image srctype=”form” align=”right” size=”medium” autoHeight=”true”]2715[/image]The WED Guild® is an elite group of highly trained professionals who are committed to delivering the best quality Music and Master of Ceremonies services for their clients. When I use the word ‘elite’, I’m not joking – these guys are the very best in the world.
In order to become a member I need to pass a certain bar of professionalism, a bar that is set extremely high. I know it’s not going to be a walk in the park and I know every aspect of what I do is going to be scrutinised (you can see the application process here), so you may well be wondering why I want to do this.
Why should you care?
Obviously, being affiliated with such an incredible group of people who are at the top of my industry, and being able to call myself a Wedding Entertainment Director will be an honour. But that’s not the reason I’m committing myself to this.
It’s very easy for DJs, MCs and Wedding Entertainers to write words on a page in the hope of convincing brides and grooms that they’re talented and professional; that they’ll make their wedding dreams come true. But I want something solid…something that tells my prospective clients that I have the love, the passion, the skills and the experience, having worked hard to earn my place in the WED Guild. I want my clients to know without a shadow of a doubt that if they book me for their wedding it will be more than they ever imagined it could be.
I look forward to and welcome the challenge ahead, it will be many months before I am remotely close to earning the title of Wedding Entertainment Director, and I can’t wait for it!
